A historical extract, abbreviated HD, reproduces the former paper register that was converted to electronic keeping. It is particularly useful for entries made before that conversion.
Meaning and context
Historical describes a specific document type. A current extract saved years ago does not become an HD. A chronological extract is another document type, covering the electronically maintained register sheet.
What the documents show
The historical sheet may show earlier names, representatives or registered offices. Read handwritten additions and markings in context. The HD alone does not establish that an older detail remains current.
Research tip
Match the court and register number to the current sheet. A longer company history may require both HD and CD, and some companies have no historical paper record.
