Meaning and context
The statutory seat identifies a place rather than a full address for service. Management or operating establishments may be located elsewhere. The seat alone does not establish that business is conducted at a particular street address.
What the documents show
An extract may list the seat and business address separately. Changing an address does not necessarily move the statutory seat. Moving the seat may also change the competent register court.
Research tip
Record both details and the date of the document. When addresses differ, check whether this reflects different dates, a branch or a registered change.
