Deletion is a register event whose meaning depends on its wording and legal basis. A deleted record is not simply a data record that never existed.

A GmbH may be deleted after liquidation is completed. Other statutory grounds exist, including lack of assets. The word deleted alone does not identify the process involved.
What the documents show
Earlier entries may remain relevant for historical research. A closed or deleted record should not automatically be used as current evidence that the company continues to trade.
Research tip
Read the final entry and chronological history. Check for a new register record, a transformation or another entity with a similar name. Do not automatically infer the position of outstanding claims from a search result.
